Vision Statement
Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, this fellowship is a “KINGDOM BUILDING” Church that teaches, preaches and proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mark 16:15 says, “And he said unto them, go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” Without prayer it is impossible to please God, therefore we must be a body that prays for the need of one another, the community, the State and the Nation.
Philippians 4:19 says, “But God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” The ultimate task is to study the word of God. We must be a church that fosters a true relationship with Him by the nurture and guidance of the Holy Spirit, enhancing faithfulness, knowledge, growth, discipleship, and commitment.
II Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." We must be a church with a living testimony unto God and the saints. A church that lifts the name of Jesus so that all might be drawn by Him: a Church who praises God with a joyful noise that the world might know in whom we believe: an active Church who worships him in spirit and in truth.
Isaiah 2:3 says, "And many people shall go and say, come ye and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of God of Jacob and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in his paths, for out of Zion shall go forth the Law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem." The Bible teaches us to stand up and be a witness and be a church that the Gospel will go out from one generation to the next until the whole world is evangelized.
Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Holistically we must seek to minister to the needs of the whole man, physically and spiritually. A body who fellowships firmly, economically, and socially to builds a true community.
Matthew 25:35-36 says, :For I was hungry, and ye gave Me meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took Me in. Naked and ye clothed Me; I was sick, and ye visited Me; I was in prison, and ye came unto Me." Matthew 25:40 says, "And the King shall answer and say unto them. Verily I say unto you inasmuch as ye have done it unto one the least of these my brethren, ye have done in unto me." Spiritually we must be a church who gives of its mean through its tithes and offerings so that the purpose of God might be served.
II Corinthians 9:7 says. "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver." In the final preparation of the "Kingdom Building," First Baptist Vision is to train the youth of the church and community. To train them to become responsible men and women carrying the torch that remains a lighthouse, shining bight day and night, guiding safely over the storms of life; developing spiritual giants in the army of the Lord.
Proverbs 3:1-2 says, "My son, forget not My Law but let thine heart keep My Commandments, for length of days and long life and peace shall they add to thee."
Now let us put our foot to the plow and be bout our father's business.
